I have had many life experience, both good and challenging. Those challenging experiences are those where I attained the most growth.
I have been married 29 years, although became a widow at a young age in a previous marriage. Even though I have lived in Colorado Springs for 23 years, I experienced life in many other locations as a military wife. I raised two
sons and have worked in a counseling setting for 21 years, first as an administrative assistant and then executive director of a non-profit counseling agency. I finally pursued my degree as a Master's in Social Work so I could
fulfill my long-time dream of becoming a psychotherapist in order to help others.
My experiences in life as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend help me to have a deeper understanding of and connection to clients with whom I work. To grow, each person has to work through where they are to where
they want to be. I love what I do -- helping others grow from their experiences into the "you" they want to be.
I will be compassionate and understanding as we work together in a safe environment of mutual trust and respect to bring about the changes you want in your life. I am here to collaborate with you, to use the approaches that suit
your need, to create a meaningfull life that brings you happiness.
